UFC 69: Georges St. Pierre takes on Matt Serra

George St. Pierre recovered from his groin injury fine and is ready for his first title defence against Ulitmate Fighter winner Matt Serra.  Matt Serra is coming into this fight after winning the show but has had to wait a long time for this fight.  Will the ice hurt his chances even more against the Champion?  We think it will.  We see Matt Serra's chances of taking down the bigger and stronger St. Pierre very slim.  Georges St. Pierre will most likely take care of Serra early in the fight.  We don't see this fight going beyond round 2 of the 5 rounds scheduled.  Look for a punch early in round one or a kick in the second round to end Serra's night early.

Diego Sanchez and Josh Koschek are promoting the most exciting fight of Saturday night.  Koschek and Sanchez are both riding winning streaks (Diego Sanchez is still undefeated) and are looking for St. Pierre very soon.  I would imagine the winner of this fight will have a title match soon enough.  Koschek is as unorthodox as he is dangerous.  Diego Sanchez is equally lethal with more hunger in his eyes.  We think Diego's hunger and desire to be the best will help him arise from a bloody vicotrious.  Yes ladies and gentlemen there will be blood and probably lots of it from this fight.  Look for these two to exchange blows on the feet and take turns at their ground n pound game.
