Muay Thai Pads, or thai pads as they are more commonly called, give the coach the ability to help a fighter focus on punching and kicking with the ability to catch knees and elbows safely. The thai pad is a favorite of MMA and Muay Thai instructors for that reason. This is also great for fighters who train together. It teaches hand and eye coordination. Most mma gyms will have fighters rotate between striking the thai pads and holding them for their teammates.
